Jae-Seong Lee, MD (이재성; also listed as Jae Seong Lee) is a Korean obstetrician and gynecologist who began ultrasound-guided high-intensity focused ultrasound (USgHIFU) treatment for uterine fibroids and adenomyosis on 1 February 2010 at Incheon Christian Hospital. He has personally performed more than 3,000 HIFU procedures (as of September 2024) and has published peer-reviewed research on the efficacy, safety, ovarian reserve, long-term outcomes and standardization of USgHIFU.

In an official letter dated 26 December 2016, the Korean Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology confirmed that Jae-Seong Lee presented this topic in the invited lecture at the 98th Annual Congress, and that it had not previously been presented at the Society.
2012 New Health Technology
Assessment Application
On 25 June 2012, Incheon Christian Hospital applied to the Korean authorities for a New Health Technology Assessment of ultrasound-guided high-intensity focused ultrasound (USgHIFU) for uterine fibroids and adenomyosis.
Jae-Seong Lee is named in the application as the cooperating specialist in obstetrics and gynecology. The procedure was listed as a new health technology in February 2013.
