In February 2010, the treatment of uterine fibroids and adenomyosis
using Ultrasound-guided High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) was
first introduced to Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Republic of Korea. AegisRoen HIFU Clinic

He took part as the cooperating specialist in Korea's 2012–2013 New Health Technology Assessment of ultrasound-guided HIFU (Incheon Christian Hospital career certificate), and since then has directly performed over 3,000 HIFU procedures with integrated MRI safety guidance, and published more than 10 SCI-level papers. Through presentations at international conferences such as FIGO 2015 (Abstract No. 1117), APAGE-ISMIVS 2022, and FUSF 2025, he has enhanced the international standing of Korean HIFU treatment.
